Design Tips for Landing Pages

Whether you are using Pay Per Click campaigns, email campaigns or driving organic traffic to your website, the only chance you have to convert your website visitors into customers is your landing page. Landing page is nothing but the first page your prospective customers will visit in your website by clicking the link that you have provided in your campaigns. Landing pages are all the more crucial when you depend on Pay Per Click campaigns because each click will cost you money and you will be able to increase your ROI only by increasing the conversion rate.

Here are some design tips for your landing pages:

• It is best to take your visitors to the products page or to the services page directly rather than trying to take them to the services page via the home page. You should reduce the number of clicks the visitors have to make before they can reach the product or the service that you are. So it is best to take them to the product directly.

• The product page or the landing page will retain the visitors for a long time if you use the same copy as your PPC campaign text or email campaign text, which is further elaborated in the landing page.

• If you are providing any offers, then you must make sure to keep that as the centre of attraction of your landing page. Everyone is attracted to offers and discounts.

• Present information in the landing pages in small blocks rather than providing the information in chunks of textual paragraphs. As much as possible, try not to use too much of text on the landing page. Whenever, you have textual content present them in the form of bulleted lists.

• The landing page should be just single screen width so that visitors will be able to scan the contents of the site without any need for scrolling. Within that space, you should have elements that will call the visitor for action either to sign up for a free promotional account or trial service or buy your product at a discounted price.

• The landing page should have these three things:
     • Information about the product in the form of advantages of using your product.
     • Discounts or offers.
     • How to order?

• Your landing page should look credible, trustworthy and professional. Make sure to pay attention to details including error free content.

Our website usability experts study your site, track various metrics on your site and then work on a multi-stage plan that will make it more user friendly, resulting in better conversion rates.
